Apart from various educational activities, the students participate in extra-curricular activities and cultural programmes held in connection with Independence day, Republic day, Thiru Onam, Vishu and Christmas.

All the students are members of the SNA. They have their local unit meeting every month and educational and cultural programmes are held regularly. The students also participate in Nurses’ day Celebrations, World Health Day Celebrations, Doctors’ Day Celebrations, etc. The students get opportunity in attending medical camp arranged for Attukkal pongala, the festival where the largest gathering of women can be found in Asia.

In addition to cultural activities, the students attend religious & spiritual discourses of the ashrama, both at Sasthamangalam and Nettayam and participate in everyday Arati and Bhajans in the shrine.
